Here are a few photos of this years early start garden.

I tried the bucket tomato and though it is working okay, I'm not ready to endorse it without further experimentation.

These are the members of the yard bug patrol as well as the self-fertilization crew.  The also produce meat and eggs.  Try doing that with a bottle of Raid or Round-up!


Here's a look at the raised beds we started this year.  The boxes are made out of D-log siding and have no preservatives in them.  The labor involved in setting up this year kept us from getting everything in on time, but as you'll see, we've still got a garden.






Here's a shot of our 40' potato bed.  They did great this year.  No Seven dust and no colorado potato beetles.  Thanks to our son's insistence that we rotate the crops, we had our first year of no potato bugs!
